Romaine Allen is my go-to guy for everything heating and plumbing related. A few months ago he repaired a major leak in my property which required a major re-route of pipework but the job was completed efficiently and with the minimum of disruption after a fairly swift diagnosis of the problem. More recently, he has done a standard boiler service. Its rare to find a tradesman who knows what they are doing and, crucially, makes a real effort with communication and problem solving. Highly recommended.

I called Allen&Co to book in our boiler service over the phone which was quick and easy to do. Unfortunately, I received the wrong date for the service via email and only realised the day Romaine was due to visit. I called to ask them to move it to another day but Romaine offered to visit the same evening. He was very prompt and professional on arrival. I would highly recommend this company for your yearly service, he made sure he did all the correct checks before leaving and made us feel reassured that our boiler is safe to use through the winter.

Romaine stopped the boiler leak with a patch up job. New part ordered on Monday. We arranged to fit it on Friday the week after as we were both busy but from Friday morning bery little contact as to when he would come. He tried to re-arrange but we were told not to put the heating on so we needed it fixed asap having accommodated our schedules. Advised at 7pm that his friend was just finishing a job to be with us but by 8.30pm and Romaine not answering calls we had no idea if anyone was coming. I can not vouch for excellent customer service based on this experience. Job not finished.

Romaine was able to find the source of the leak coming from my bathroom very quickly after 2 previous plumbers could not identify it. He made the repairs and worked in a very tidy manner. He also explained everything thoroughly and gave us options. Once the work was completed he also kindly gave a courtesy call at a later date to make sure everything was ok. Would highly recommend!
