Used Aswad on a recommendation to get an EICR done as the previous electrician was trying to charge for a new CCU when it was not needed. Aswad confirmed this and carried out the works promptly and ensured the electrics are fully safe and compliant with building legislation. And for half the price quoted by the other guy. Very friendly and courteous when carrying out the work and I will be using them again for sure.

Trustworthy and Responsive Electrician

Aswad UK came highly recommended and this is the second time that we have had to call on their services. They go out of their way to be helpful and on both occasions came at short notice. They were quick to identify the hidden problems causing our electrics to 'trip' (mice and water ingress!) and promptly ordered the replacement parts. They resolved the issues on both occasions without any fuss and with the extra assurance that they are NICEIC Registered. Their billing is very reasonable and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I contacted Aswad on for urgent work and he was very helpful and visited the property to identify faulty switch issue and corrected it without a lot of fuss. I will definitely be reaching for him number next time I am in a fix.

I contacted Aswad Electrical because of the splendid reviews on this site. They are entirely justified: he visited promptly and installed a new induction hob quickly and efficiently, with a very reasonable bill. Great work and really nice people!

I contacted AswadUK as I needed a landlord safety certificate for my flat, which was quite old (~60s), and a quote I got from another company wanted me to pay for more than £5000 to rewire everything, when AswadUK managed to get it renewed and fixed for a third of the price! They worked really cleanly, they are really nice and took the time to explain things properly when I asked them out of curiosity. I can only recommend working with them!

A great find.

I found Aswad through the Trusted Traders site. I needed an Electrical Safety Certificate for a flat. How refreshing to find an electrician who picked up the phone when I called, made an appointment within the next few days and turned up on time. I found Aswad to be reliable and honest. He didn't try to manipulate me into doing unnecessary work, but advised me that some remedial work will be necessary next year. I am so glad to have found him as he lives near to my property. His price was very reasonable. I know it's a cliche, but I shall definitely use him again.

Honest, reliable, reasonably priced, conscientious electrician

After being ripped off by a couple of electricians who although NICEIC rated with seemingly good reviews, didn't seem to take pride in their work e.g. fitting wonky sockets and clocking up time in order to overcharge, I was despairing of finding a good, trustworthy electrician. I was therefore thrilled to discover Aswad, who I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. He is diligent, honest, communicative and always aims to do the best job possible for a competitive price. So far he's repositioned a ceiling light fixture, decommissioned some wall lights, changed other lights and replaced an electric heater. I've got some other electrical work to do, e.g. changing the fuse box, some bonding, fitting a hardwired Ring doorbell, and Aswad is going to do all this work. He's got excellent knowledge and is able to convey it in layman's terms. He is also very polite and considerate. I've recommended him to lots of friends already.

Aswad was amazing and went above and beyond the call of Duty

I called Aswad when I had just arrived into my flat after years of being out of the country. The electric heaters were broken and the house was freezing. He came immediately. And because it was such a small job he didn't even charge me. A day later the lights cut out and he came and fixed it quickly and easily. Once again saying it was such a small inconvenience to him that he didn't feel it right to charge. I was really shocked: Have never met someone who would drop everything not once but twice to help a stranger out and then once he had solved the problem said it was too small to charge for. He is not just a great electrician, he's a great person. I cannot recommend him highly enough and will be using only him in the future.

We needed a new fuse box for our house which would involve the need for a satisfactory electrical installation condition report. Aswad UK were shown in our search in Which trusted traders with five stars. Our correspondence with Aswad was fast and clear and their quote straightforward and fair. The work was done quickly and unobtrusively and the final invoice was the amount quoted.

Professional service, quote, working style and invoicing.

I contracted Aswad UK to complete the replacement of my Electrical Fuse Box together with the installation of a fire alarm, heat alarm and tidying up some cables. I was not able to get to the property at the time as it was rented and I was isolating. Aswad gave me a quote just looking at the issue based on photographs. He kept in touch to confirm timings and on the day sent photos of work completed and requesting permission where items were ambiguous. In the end the work he has completed was of an excellent standard and the wiring modification surpassed my expectations. He was able to meet the original quoted price and his invoice, cost breakdown and certificates were sent through promptly. I would highly recommend him for similar work again.

Great and thorough work

I've used Aswad for a few jobs on my residential letting property. They installed a new fuse box to meet the latest RCD standards and managed to squeeze it into an awkward location without having to take any of the fixtures apart. Aswad performed the EICR, installed smoke alarms and came back to perform PAT test on the appliances. They fixed one item with a faulty earth at the same time. Their prices are reasonable and they are punctual and courteous to deal with.
