“We wanted a wood burning stove for ecological and comfort reasons. Dennis of DC Fires visited and explained the constraints and what needed doing. After listening to what we wanted (a modern looking, A+ rated wood-only stove) he recommended a Hunter 4 Compact Eco (4.5kw) stove. A LOT of poorly laid masonry had to be removed to create a HETAS compliant fireplace/ flue arrangement. I could not be more pleased with the result: 20.4C. indoors, -5C. outside. Very price competitive but Dennis (and Paul) come with YEARS of experience and expertise. The stove lights very quickly and heats fast.”

Dennis' extensive experience and knowledge stood out from all professionals I contacted for this job. He explained everything in detail for a project that had its challenges. Dennis and Paul worked tirelessly over 3 days to the highest standard, they arrived on time, were very polite and impeccable in terms of tidiness, especially given the soot that came out! I highly recommend Dennis and his team and will employ him again to install a fireplace in our bedroom.”
