"Luke Fairley has done several carpentry jobs for me in the past three years, from replacing timber window frames and the window sill, repairing a broken floor board, building two timber fences in the garden and repairing another one as well as doing all sorts of other little jobs which come up every so often in an old house. Highly skilled, always innovative in his approach to any job and determined to find a solution to whatever problems or complications prop up along the way. Highly recommended. Every job he has done has been a complete success. An absolute pleasure to work with."

Customer voice from the public record
"Luke built us some bespoke wardrobes and bookshelves back in August 2023. In addition to doing a great job, Luke is a really pleasant and trustworthy guy who is eager to go the extra mile."
"Luke has done all manner of works over the years, including windows, doors and kitchen. Luke is an all round decent man who works hard and is a pleasure to work with."
"He did all sorts of carpentry and a range of different things, floor installation and that kind of thing. Hard to find someone who does good work and Luke does good work."
"Luke was an absolute lifesaver! Following some renovations to our Victorian mid-terrace property, a part of our stud wall which has a 90 degree curve was left with no skirting, with an ugly gaping hole (no plasterboard behind), and natural earth / soil being exposed. Our original installer has installed skirting around most of the room but got stuck at the curve and was unable to proceed. Due to the complexity of the job, we struggled to get many responses to our quote. We started to fear it would be an impossible job, if not hugely expensive. Fortunately after a few weeks we came across Luke on this site, and he came round promptly, provided the most competitive and reasonable quote, and did an amazing job. We were particularly impressed that - instead of having to purchase a brand new more flexible skirting (that would not match our existing skirting) - Luke actually managed to match our existing skirting to the new curved skirting he installed. (Not to mention the skirting runs around two different floor levels, which Luke installed neatly and seamlessly!) All said, his craftsmanship is definitely at an excellent standard! Finally he was really friendly, communicative, and extremely tidy (he set up his work station outside so we had no dust or mess in the room when he finished). He completed the job in two days as promised and to our deadline of September (due to hosting many guests in Oct). Would highly recommend!"

Luke did a fantastic job replacing all the door handles and latches in my flat. His work was precise, professional, and completed efficiently, leaving everything clean and tidy afterward. It’s clear he takes pride in his craftsmanship and pays attention to every detail. He was also very polite and easy to communicate with throughout the process. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for any carpentry or home improvement needs.
Luke did a fantastic job! I absolutely love my new kitchen. The kitchen is unrecognisable from what it once was. I also had a dishwasher installed, which I did not have before and Luke managed to fit it even though the space was awkward and small. Everything was done with the utmost care. Luke was a very nice and trustworthy person who was transparent with me and kept me up-to-date throughout the process. I would recommend Luke to anyone who is looking to get a new kitchen. I will be contacting Luke again for future jobs I need doing! Thank you so much!
