"I requested SM Preservations to address a damp problem in an external wall of my property. They carried out a detailed inspection and identified the cause as cracking in the external render that was permitting rain penetration. They repaired the cracks, removed the damp-affected internal plaster, installed a dampproof membrane, and replastered the wall. The team from SM arrived punctually, were very respectful of my property and its contents, and carried out the work to a very good standard. I am very satisfied with the result and would fully recommend SM for carrying out work of this nature."

The work was scheduled and the team arrived promptly, carefully protected flooring and screened other rooms to minimise the movement of dust. The work took 5 days and the team arrived promptly each morning and worked solidly, quietly, and tidily until the end of the day. All rubbish was removed from site and the area left as clean and tidy as possible ready for the next stage (decoration). All of the team were excellent and expert and happy to explain to me what they were doing and why."
