Originally contacted in June to fit two vents to our garden office. After a few weeks of missed timing and a no-show, they turned up. We had specified the type of vents we wanted, but he didn't have them, so went away for 3 hours to find them. Couldn't find them, returned the next day. Didn't screw internal vents (only glued to wall). Will see how it goes - hope it hasn't affected insulation of building too much.

I appointed Homes on Demand to do a garden job and refurbishment. The work was supposed to be completed in 5 days. The work extended for 6 weeks and costs increased significantly. On several occasions the contractor ignored my instructions or incurred and charged me for fees against my instructions. They damaged the floor, and the work quality has been extremely poor. The job has not been finished and now the contractor has just stopped answering the phone. Parts of the work are unusable and it will cost me a lot of money to fix

After an initial phone call from the trade to schedule a visit, they didn’t show up. So, we had to reschedule for the next day, but the same thing, they didn't show-up and they didn't even bother to call or text. Very unprofessional!

Worth checking yourself
Their public rating is on the low side. Read the most recent reviews yourself before deciding.
Their public evidence comes from a single source. Look them up on another site before deciding.
No credentials are shown here and the business has not claimed this profile. Ask to see certificates and insurance directly.
Get an itemised quote that separates plants and materials, any machinery or skip hire, and labour. A vague 'garden makeover' lump sum hides where the money goes and makes extra charges easy to add later.
Be wary of paying a large sum up front 'for materials'. Agree staged payments against work you can see completed, especially for hard landscaping like patios, decking, paving or driveways.
Tree work and anything near a boundary can be regulated. Protected trees and conservation areas often need permission, and removing a protected tree can be an offence. Confirm what is allowed, and that they carry public-liability insurance, before work starts.
