Two very happy customers!I
We have engaged Ian Hodgson and his team in painting work both outside and inside our home on a number of occasions. Ian has always quoted promptly, fairly and made every effort to ensure customer satisfaction throughout— including arriving on time and often finishing ahead of schedule in carrying out the work exactly as arranged. We found Ian to be reliable and dependable in completing our requirements to a high professional standard. We have no reservations in recommending his services! Ian’s approachable, friendly manner and his work ethic is an asset “to the painting and decorating world” and we wish him and his team ongoing success in the days ahead.

Internal home redecoration
Ian and his colleague Alan redecorated most of my home. They arrived on time each day and did all the work quoted within the time expected. They were willing to shift furniture, re-hang pictures and nothing was too much trouble for them. I will happily have them again when I need more decorating done

Repainting an entire flat, including external windows
It was a pleasure to have Ian repaint my flat. He could not have been more helpful both with suggestions to make the most of the place and putting himself out to let other tradesmen in for unrelated issues. He has done an excellent job in very timely fashion, a few weeks before the estimated time. If I need any more work doing Ian will be my first port of call. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I have used this decorator before and was aware that there would be a time delay before I could get the work done due to his popularity and professionalism but I knew that I would be more that satisfied by the end resuls and wasn't disappointed A very professional job even my neighbor asked for his relephone number when he saw the standard of the work

Absolutely delighted with work!
Am so very pleased with my newly painted room. Walls, cornice work and all woodwork..... Including window shutters, all beautifully painted. Work completed in time. Pleasant, tidy, quick painters. Professional, meticulous & a pleasure to work with
Ian was highly professional throughout. He quoted promptly & reasonably, his time estimates were accurate, and he finished the job ahead of schedule. He and his colleague, Alan, arrived promptly every morning, and their work (which involved a lot of making good due to a previous bad paint job) was of a very high quality. They were having to decorate around furniture & boxes, but couldn't have been more helpful in moving things and ensuring minimal disruption. Nothing was too much trouble. In short, Ian and his colleague were a pleasure to work with.

Clean and efficient work
The Hall, stairs and upstairs hall and landing were redecorated with wallpaper and white paint for the woodwork and ceilings. Quote given verbally and followed up by email with an approximate start date which was confirmed 3 weeks before starting. Arrived on time everyday and left the property clean and tidy at the end of each day. The work was completed in 7 working days, which was 3 less than the original quote. Very happy to recommend.

Excellent service from start to finish
The heading of this review says it all. Mr. Hodgson replied promptly to my telephone enquiry, listened carefully to my requests, gave me a date for a personal visit and followed up on that with a confirmation of * a starting date * a quote for the work to be done * an estimated date for completion of the work He followed up on that with excellent work, a readiness to accommodate my wishes and great patience in helping me make decisions about detail of colours etc. He was very well organised, punctual, careful in his preparation and clearing up. I was impressed by the fact that he seemed really to enjoy the work he was doing. He would be my first choice for any further work which I required to have done and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Hassle free and reliable
Ian and his colleague Alan painted our hall, landing, WC and kitchen. They started promptly at 8 every morning and worked solidly. Very tidy painters. Ian lives nearby so I felt very confident with leaving him my house keys. Very reasonably priced

A lovely job.
A bedroom with a nasty long-standing crack in the ceiling was redecorated to a very high standard and the crack made almost invisible. The room looks nice and fresh and the work was carried out within the time-scale promised. Ian and Alan were great to work with.

Bedroom painting
Ian came to paint my bedroom, which I had previously painted myself but had varying success with. He came for an initial visit and told me the expected duration and cost of the work. My initial impressions were that he was confident and easy to talk to and he provided quick and honest feedback about the best course of action for the room. We had to reschedule the planned visit which Ian was understanding of. During ongoing communication we were easily able to arrange a visit for the following week. Ian did a great job painting my bedroom. The work was carried out to timeframe and quoted cost, the finish is flawless, it really elevates my room and is now more in line with the look I had for it in my mind. I would highly recommend Ian for painting and decorating and will not hesitate to call on him for future additions/projects.

A quality painting and decorating job
I recommend this business for a quality painting and decorating job. Ian and Alan totally transformed our hallway, stairs and upper landing, stripping the walls, lining them and painting the walls and woodwork. They also painted our sitting room. The work was completed quickly and to schedule, with Ian clearly explaining costs when the estimate had to be amended. They took care to discuss each stage with us, were friendly and were very tidy, clearing up each day. They showed great attention to detail and took time to make sure we were very happy with everything before they finished.

We are delighted with Ian and Alan's workmanship - painting the exterior of our house.
