Jamie and his team were incredible! They completely dismantled and disposed of a large concrete retaining wall, an old fence, a very large concrete patio with 3 large sets of stairs and a concrete wall going all around the patio. They also had to lower one section of the patio that was above the damp course, that was a lot of digging. They had to replace and move away from the house an old soak away that had collapsed. They rebuilt the large retaining wall between us and our neighbours with a stronger and higher one made with solid concrete sleepers and topped it with a 7 feet fence made of strong closed board wooden panels. They rebuilt the large patio with beautiful sandstone, they had to rebuilt the surround of 2 gutters and one drain.They had to rebuilt the 3 large stairs, one going to the kitchen door, another one to access the patio and the last one that goes from the patio to the conservatory. They rebuilt the wall surrounding the patio in lovely reclaimed bricks. They also had to rebuilt in brick all around the small garage door as that wall had crumbled away and water was pouring in. Later on, we asked them back to remove and rebuild in bricks another retaining wall in the front drive. They always do an amazing job. They always turn up on time. Their communication is brilliant. Jamie was always happy to accommodate any changes we might want. He answered every questions we might have. Jamie was on site every single day, either working or supervising. All the most difficult tasks, he always did himself. They all work incredibly hard and Jamie only buys the best materials. They cleaned and tidy everything everyday before leaving. They arrived every morning on time and with a smile. We highly recommend them. We will have them back for any work we might have in the future! Oh and I forgot, they also built a beautiful wooden arch going from the patio to the garden! Just perfect!

We had several internal wall repairs and and some plastering required. They came to quote quickly and then when they started work kept to their time tables and the quality of work was great.

Jamie and Robert did a very complicated landscaping, retaining walls and 3 tiered patios. They also set large wooden posts for a pergola (to be added later). The job was made more difficult because the garden is irregularly shaped. Communication was excellent, they started and finished the job when they said they would. We are really pleased with the end result - what a transformation! The job was priced fairly - the labour charge for the job was very competitive. Jamie and Robert are both very hard working, and Jamie has many years experience and is very skilled. We would definitely recommend J Wilkes Paving and Construction Ltd.

Jamie, Rob and Sam did a great job on our driveway - excellent workmanship, tidy and great guys. Jamie’s overall communication was great throughout and he provided valuable advice when we were deciding between materials. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and highly recommend.

From the first contact to completion of the project there was excellent communication and details given. The work itself was of a very high standard and the site was left extremely clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this company and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
