“I chose Mark from J H Glazing to replace a new upvc sliding sash window in my first floor flat which had been left only partially in place, unsealed, with part of the original box sash still in place and the wrong fittings on it. He turned up promptly to do a quote, listened carefully to what I wanted, produced a very competitive quote quickly. I had to delay the work for a few weeks due to dealing with a death. He was very understanding. He worked on his own, was quiet, considerate, efficient and cleaned up. It was an awkward window being on the first floor and behind the kitchen sink. The weather was cold and windy with short daylight hours in the first week of January. Mark managed to salvage the original wooden architrave and cill, which had some damage from the previous window installers attempt (no other company said they could do this). I have repainted the architrave and cill and, with the minimal fittings in satin rather than shiny chrome, and it now fits in very well with both the kitchen and the other two windows which are still the original wooden sashes. The work is FENSA certified, has an Energy Performance certificate and guarantee. Mark kept to his quote and is very competent and pleasant. I highly recommend him.”

Mark was very professional and did a good job within a faster time frame than he first estimated. He is also trustworthy as he managed to get a significant discount on my doors after we already agreed a price. He could have kept this to himself but he gave me the discount. I would not hesitate to use him again and have already referred him to my mum! My doors and windows look great! Thanks Mark!
We hired Mark to replace an old conservatory at the back of the property and the front door. We were so pleased with the work he did on the first two jobs we got him back in to replace the back door too. He's a thoroughly nice bloke and very responsive to our messages. Really pleased we decided to use Which to look up a trader to use and went with the excellent reviews Mark already had. He came in the middle of three quotes we asked for so perfectly reasonably priced and there were no surprises or extra charges beyond the original quote. After the fitting of the back door we had a problem with the front one where it had settled since being fitted. Nothing serious, just proving a little stiff to lock and unlock. It's an old house and we expect that kind of thing with the change in seasons. Mark came back and adjusted the door and it's back to the same great fit and quality as when he first fitted it. Would definitely recommend.
Mark has carried out several jobs over the past few years. Initially it was difficult finding a tradesperson who could meet our requirements as needed to replaced two ornate glass doors in our Victorian house, one of which formed part of our front door and the other was our daughter's bedroom. More recently he replaced a UPVC door and a sliding slash window to a very high standard. Mark is very reliable and knowledgeable and have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.
Have chosen this company to fit windows for us on four different occasions now and they always to a good job.
The smoothest experience with a tradesperson that I have ever had. Mark was efficient, open and good value. I wasn't able to be there for any of the process, but Mark was happy for me to oversee remotely and through a lodger. He came out and measured up before giving me a very clear quote. After a delay in delivery of the door, which I was kept informed by, he arrived and completed the work within a day. The quality of work is wonderful.

I have a UPVC front door which refused to close late in the day. Mark agreed to come out at once to fix it. He arrived quickly and the door was soon fixed and our security problem with it. Many thanks.
Recommended. I had a small job (one window) and Mark took it on when others wouldn't which is the right decision in this coming 2020 recession. Good workmanship, fair price, constant communication during the fabrication process.
Mark replaced five old wooden windows with PVC equivalents. He was very quick and responsive throughout - from quoting to after-care. He gave good advice and was on time, removing all rubbish etc. He worked 12 hour days to get the windows installed in a very tight time frame - one day less than planned due to one of the access keys I gave him not working! I'm impressed with the new windows and the standard of work - they look great! I felt Mark was very honest and straight forward, with traditional family firm values. The FENSA certificate and guarantee document has come through. I'd certainly use Mark him again.
I found JH Glazing through Which? Trusted Traders and I’m glad I did. Mark was early for his initial appointment, thorough in his assessment and good on detail – he was the only one of five quoting companies to check the condition of the plaster work around the two deteriorating sash windows we wanted to replace. I also liked that he wasn’t at all pushy, and never subcontracts work because he’s worried about the impact this might have on the quality of work and his business reputation. Mark installed a quality product at a good price, worked late to condense a two-day job into one day, and was easy and pleasant to deal with throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending JH Glazing.
I had half of my apartment's windows replaced with great quality double glazed ones. Mark's work was fantastic, tidy, hassle-free. He came over, understood exactly what I wanted, and took it from there. Now I've got new fantastic windows, and another project is lined up (the other rooms as well). Highly recommended. Thanks Mark!

We had a bedroom with existing double glazed units that were all blown and cloudy. Also an old cracked pane in a stained glass feature window. Plus 3 broken hinges on different windows. Some would quote for bits of the work (and wanted lots more) whereas Mark gave a fair quote for all the elements we required. He was very responsive, courteous and did exactly what he said he would do. Great job. Happy to recommend without hesitation.
