From the moment I asked for a quote from Martin Burke Electrics for installing Dimplex Quantum Heaters, I felt that my requirements were immediately understood and prioritized. An assessment visit was arranged the very next day and a quotation quickly followed. Martin, on his first visit was able to offer ideas and solutiuons to my particular situation, offering expert insight in the field of Dimplex Quantum Heaters, particularly with reference to positioning and size. He was also able to listen to my opinion and when it came to the day of installation, his engineers arrived punctually with a full brief of the work to be carried out. Any queries on the day were dealt with, and the team of four worked quickly and in an organised fashion, taking care not to damage any existing floors and surfaces. When the job was completed I was given a full explanation of the operation of the new heaters and assured that Martin was only a phone call away should I have any issues. Aside from the installation itself, I felt I was continually supported by the business office, with emails and communications answered promtly and informatively. From my experience and dealings, I would have no hesitation in recommending Martin Burke Electrical Contractors in the future, in fact I already have!

Our home is the centre part of a former 21 room Victorian mansion. The conversion was done in the 1960s. A central ceiling rose and light fitting fell down exposing cables we thought had no Earth and meant a rewire. We found Martin Burke E.C. on the Which Trusted Traders website and arranged for a home visit. Martin came and examined the lighting, power circuits and meters. He reassured us by explaining the Earth wire covering was peeled back not missing and we did not need a rewire. However, there were obvious problems with some other things and he would send two men to run tests on everything and then give us a quote for what was needed. Kieran and Marc came soon afterwards and provided a full report of the work needed to issue an EICR certificate. Kieran discovered two of the other properties mains power cables were in our meter cupboard: and didn’t look in great condition, so SP inspected it and sorted it out very quickly. We owe a big thank you to them, too. After that Martin sent three electricians for the day to do the work needed to meet today’s standards. They grafted virtually, non stop, cleaning up as they worked. Also correcting things they discovered as they worked. Having lived in 8 houses and built one, these were the best electricians we have ever used. 5 stars doesn’t begin to cover the work done on time and to the price we agreed. When our double-glazing installation was brought forward a week, we needed our television wiring de-installed before the work began the following day. (We are both elderly and haunless) .Although this was a small job, Martin responded very positively and quickly. He was meticulous in insuring the minimum disruption and confirmed returning to re-wire. Apart from the very satisfactory job outcome, It's most re-assuring to have such a helpful and friendly company we can contact when necessary in the future.

I've called on Martin Burke Electrical Contractors on a few occasions in the last few months as a private landlord and they have been fantastic on every occasion. From the installation of smoker alarms to a tenant not having hot water, their response times have been great. They provide a prompt, courteous and competitively priced service and are my first point of contact for all things Electrical. I would highly recommend.

Unfortunately the new heater had a Faulty control panel (not Martins fault) and Martin quickly attended to this by arranging the repair under the Dimplex warranty and issue now resolved. I have used this very reliable Company for years and can’t praise them enough. All works carried out by Martin and his team have been excellent and efficient. Always on time, polite and exceptionally clean workers. I have recommended MB to friends and family and will continue to use them.

We are having some work done to an old domestic property that had some very weird electrics ( fireproof industrial electrics) Every other electrician we approached ran a mile or as soon as shown pictures or was not skilled enough to deal with it. Martin and his crew were fantastic. Not only did they survey the property thoroughly but were able to then advise how to proceed maintaining safe electrical standards all the way through and retaining the actually totally safe existing electrics but allowing us to tailor requirements to more modern appliances and needs. We now have a fully compliant system that meets all our needs and requirements. They did superb professional work, turned up on time and cleaned up after themselves, when everyone else had run away. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

MB Electrical recently advised me on my requirements to meet smoke alarm regulations, and then carried out the required work to supply and fit the alarms really quickly. Really efficient and professional service right from the initial phone call through to the job being complete - no fuss, no mess and all done at a very reasonable price. Would be more than happy to recommend MB Electrical as a good company to use.

I recently had new smoke alarms installed In my home due to the new regulations in place. Martin from MB electrical could not have been more helpful, very pleasant, explained everything really well and done the work at a very reasonable price as I also got quotes from a few other companies which were charging more to do the job. From start to finish all was really quick and professional. Will definitely be using MB electrical again and would highly recommend them.

In my opinion misleading communication over pricing and as such will not use again nor recommend. A pity as I expected better from an established local trader.

I asked Martin to visit on Thursday morning and provide a quote. He said yes for 9:30 and then didn't turn up. When I called to inquire he accused me of not confirming the appointment when there was no indication a reply was needed. My email: "Hi Martin, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'm afraid I have awkwardly timed meetings tomorrow morning and afternoon. I could do Thursday morning if that works? Thanks, Gerry" His reply: "Hi, Yes, that be great same time 9:30. Martin" Misunderstandings happen but no need to be so accusatory and defensive and then rudely hang up. No apology for the misunderstanding or inconvenience given that I had to rearrange my work.

Asking for replacing the storage heater. The boys come very on time, the work is professional, have good work done with setting my heater ready to go, they adjust the heater time to the actual time after installation. More importantly, they also clean and make everything tidy after work. Really professional and what customers want. Would definitely recommend MB to my friend!

I had requested EICR on 2 properties. Martin responded promptly and the quotes were reasonable. The work was completed to time and budget and the certificates were sent promptly after payment. The 2 reports were rated in Good condition. There were no observations on the first property ‘A’, but 3 non urgent improvements were noted on the second, property ‘B’. I was sent a quote for the works which I considered excessive and said to Martin that I would get other quotes. To my surprise, Martin noted he would have to downgrade the previous report, (which was all signed off) and call out that urgent repairs were now required! This, he said was because I wasn’t using his company for the remedial works and he wasn’t sure if the works would be carried out. In addition, he sent a revised report to my letting agent indicating the property was dangerous and urgent repairs were required. The agent consequently informed me they couldn’t let the property until the repairs. I was not even sent a copy of the revised report even though I ordered and paid for the the tests. I challenged this and queried if this was the industry norm: to issue a report in the expectations for additional works and then downgrade it if the customer chooses a diff contractor. Martin insisted this was not the case that they choose not to put in the full details in the first report so the customer wouldn’t have to pay for a new EICR. Found the whole thing very strange and unprofessional.
