“PEB stripped out the existing bathroom, then prepared the surfaces and services for the new bathroom. They installed the new bathroom (tiling, walk-in shower, basin and toilet). Before handing the completed bathroom to us they tested all the bathroom for leaks and checked everything functioned as expected. All work was carried to budget and finished on time. PEB advised as of options to consider and ways we could improve the room. We always knew what was happening during the re-furbishment. A minor overflow from the shower tray was dealt with promptly and efficiently. PEB have wide knowledge of the building trade and happy to advise us on solution/products to niggles we had elsewhere in our building.”
“Peter and his team installed 4 angle irons to support brickwork above windows. Their work was efficient, competent and politely delivered. They visited the site before beginning and made sure all materials were ready to start. Completed the work within the time and budget agreed. Also cleaned and tidied the site before leaving. I totally recommend their work and will call them again.”
“After two in-person meetings and viewing a previous job, we engaged Peter and Nye to complete extensive renovations of our ground floor and patio areas. It involved knocking two rooms together, raising ceiling height, levelling floor to remove internal steps, removal of large chimney breast, installation of new external doors and windows, installation of new kitchen units and appliances, creation of new boiler/utility room, creation of understairs cloakroom and storage area, replacing a ceiling and coving in a second room, replastering walls and fitting new skirting boards in a third room, creating a new raised patio and replacing two existing areas of flagstones, providing external powerpoints and power for future garden shed. All work was completed to a good standard, and very well project managed by Peter/Nye. We were always kept informed of progress and consulted whenever choices needed to be made. The team were cheerful, humorous and helpful, sometimes coming up with clever ways around problems. Eg. their skill at cutting down an existing good quality window meant we were able to use the existing RSJ, creating a new door opening alongside the window - a better result than we had anticipated. One miscommunication - we expected them to decorate at the end, but this was not included in price and not initially made clear to us. But in all other ways, they were always completely clear, fair and helpful, and we would use them again. And we got used to Peter's singing.”

Peter Edwards built our extension which included a new kitchen, utility room, downstairs cloakroom and patio. All work was carried out professionally and to a good standard. Peter, Nye and Robert were punctual and reliable and worked hard. Our main contact was Nye and he was always pleasant and easy to deal with. He maintained good communication with us throughout and managed the project well, advising us and liaising with other professionals as required. We were able to see previous work that had been done by them and to talk to a previous client before going ahead. Additionally, snags that arose at the end of the work were dealt with promptly and efficiently.
Peter responded quickly when I had problems with the floor in the utility room and toilet. He arrived the following week and carried out the repairs very quickly and efficiently replacing joists and floor boards and putting in an air brick. His invoice was the same as the quote he gave and I was very happy with the price. I hope he will be coming back in the new year to check out the flooring in my kitchen.
Nye was our builder for the entirety of our kitchen project. The job involved the removal of our current kitchen and the installation of a new kitchen. It involved the partial removal of an internal wall and extensive electrical, plumbing and carpentry work both in the kitchen area and into the hallway where Nye removed an archway, removed and re sited a radiator and created a new light point in the ceiling. Throughout this project, Nye was punctual and reliable - always on site when he said he would be. He spent several weeks at our house and was courteous and accommodating at all times. The site was left tidy at the end of the day and Nye ensured that we were given as much access as quickly as possible to cooking facilities and water. As expected in any project, several snags arose along the way and Nye dealt with these quickly and professionally, ensuring that the project continued to run smoothly. We made several extra requests as the project evolved and Nye accommodated these with no complaint to ensure that we were happy at all times. The work was completed as per the original quote and Nye was always explicitly clear when any cost needed to be adjusted up or down. Communication between us and Nye was always easy and he was friendly and approachable throughout, returning to site out of his working hours at times to ensure all matters were quickly and efficiently dealt with. It has been a pleasure to work with Nye and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.
Timely on budget and thoughtful. Old school builder with foundations in quality and good work ethic, with occasion out bursts of singing suggests a positive attitude. Am happy with the end result and advice given. I would hope to use their services for a future back extension, or in recommending their services to others.
Nye and Peter are great people and obviously experts at what they do. Our job involved quite a few fiddly elements and they tackled them all with attention-to-detail. They even picked up any other niggling issues with our flat as they went - including some very dangerous wiring from a previous owner's attempt at DIY. All in all, we felt like we were in safe hands right from the off. They were punctual, cheerful, kept us updated with progress, and were really accommodating with any questions or additional asks as they went. Can't recommend them enough.

This is our "Grand Designs" project, the extension consists of a new lounge/ diner with an apex roof including skylights and a new bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Renovation included new electrics, heating, plastering a new roof and patio. The result is stunning! We were very apprehensive as we looked to engage a building company for this project and now so glad we chose Which Trusted Trader and found Peter and Nye. We cannot rate this company highly enough. They have been totally professional from start to finish: provided us with a detailed quote, have been on site every day for 4 months, always planning ahead so no delay in supplies, work extremely hard and to a very high standard, giving sound advice to overcome any challenges that arose with the build. We genuinely count our blessings every day that we employed Peter Edwards to undertake this once-in-a-lifetime project for us and we felt confident from day one that we had chosen the “A” Team.
We have used Peter and Nye in the past for a loft and kitchen extension which they did to a high standard and have had no problems with over the years. We recently had them back to re-render the exterior of our house, work to the roof and window and make good the driveway adding a new path and step. We even added on additional work which was not a problem for them. Peter and the team did a brilliant job in good time and we’re more than pleased with the result. Competitively priced, great time keeping and worked through the day tidying up before they left. Would definitely recommend.
Someone gave me the details of Nye & contacted him in an emergency after a cowboy left the house exposed to the rainy weather. He responded immediately & covered the house until the work started a few days letter. He gave us priority over other scheduled jobs due to the urgency of the repairs. He & the team did an excellent job. Even other builders working in nearby houses though their job was impeccable. I contacted him 2 years later as though I saw a small crack in the plaster but was reassured it was nothing to worry about. He put another coat of paint out of courtesy. I would definitely recommend him & the team.
Peter and Nye helped us finish off work that we needed doing in our house. They fitted a new utility room, including a new upvc door, new flooring, kitchen unit installation and alot of making good. We also asked them to re-fit some doors including skirting and architrave. They also installed a drainage channel outside. The work was done to a great standard and we were happy with the outcome. The guys were here at 8am every day and left the house clean when leaving. Would definitely recommend
Peter and his team completed a side dormer extension creating a larger third bedroom and hall area. Peter and his team are very knowledgeable at what they do. Kept us well informed throughout the build and all the work was completed within the time quoted. Would definitely recommend.
Peter, Nye and Chris did a great job of extending our first floor to blend in with our existing ground floor, and installing a new bathroom. Peter gave a competitive quote that was stuck to (we asked for additional work along the way), and was happy to provide advice along each step of the process. The team arrived at 8 am promptly each morning, and worked through wind, rain, snow and freezing temperatures each day, and even completed the project slightly before their 12-week estimate. The quality of the workmanship is first class, and we are absolutely thrilled with the end result - so much so that we want the boys back to do some ground floor work once we have saved the money. All of the team are friendly and approachable (even more so if you feed them a cake!), and I would not hesitate to recommend them. 5 stars.
Peter and Nye built a ground floor rear extension to our 1930’s terraced house. They built a utility room, downstairs toilet and kitchen diner. With work already underway, we decided to install underfloor heating on the whole of the ground floor, apart from the living room, and fully refurbish our family bathroom combining the separate bathroom and toilet. Peter and Nye recommended changing the water main since it was the original pipe which was going to be under the underfloor heating to avoid potential issues with it in the future. They also installed a new boiler on the first floor which entailed extensive pipework. All the work was carried out while we were living in the house. We found the team to be very considerate with this causing the least disruption possible. Before the work started they visited the neighbours to make sure people were aware of the works and during the works they helped to maintain good relations with them. We found them to be reliable, punctual and professional. Their experience meant that they could handle any changes or unexpected things happening, which with a large project and an old house is unavoidable. Their rates were very competitive and we got a quality job knowing that the things we can’t see were done the way they should be done. We would definitely recommend them and we’ll have more work for them in the near future.

We hired Pete to refurbish our downstairs toilet. He came when he said he would, gave a reliable and competitive estimate, put forward and discussed different ideas and tailored the job as he went along. The work was well done and we are very pleased with the results. It all looks much better and up to date. Overall we were happy, the only downsides being he often broke off to have a chat to us and used the nearest thing to hand.
We contracted Peter and the team to carry out a bespoke building job on our property in New Malden - one which a couple of other recommended companies had told us wouldn't be possible. But, thanks to their vision and experience of managing similar projects in the area, they designed and built a fantastic new porch and downstairs cloakroom at the front of our house. It sounds a small job...but it has made a huge difference to the look, function and 'kerb appeal' of our home. The team are traditional, local, well-skilled, well-connected and honest with a can-do / no-nonsense attitude from the outset - which, to us, translated as the project being completed on time and on budget (no hidden extras). The job was competitively priced and was carried out to a very high standard - come and have a look if you're thinking of using Peter Edwards Building!
