After the job was completed, the tradesperson gave me his payment details before leaving and promised to provide an invoice that evening, once he got home. I made payment in good faith soon after the tradesperson had left, and the tradesperson sent me a WhatsApp message to confirm receipt of the funds and once again promised to provide an invoice once he got home (I have this in writing). No such invoice was provided. Over the last three weeks I have sent frequent WhatsApp messages to the tradesperson and have phoned him a few times requesting an invoice but he has failed to provide one.
