Paul of Romana Ltd commenced a survey for us on a property that our RCIS surveyor had said there were damp readings, which is currently in the process of being purchased. After asking for the Survey to be done, Paul was there the very next day . I telephoned him a day later to ascertain how the Survey went and I was astonished when Paul said there was no rising damp in the property after checking the exterior walls. He found a small amount of damp higher up on the wall around a patio door that was not sealed properly. He stated it only requires silicone. I was then informed that no report was therefore required and therefore no fee. How good is that? In essence, Paul had travelled out of his way and taken time out of his day, free of charge. The honesty is astounding. I thoroughly recommend this company to one and all. If you do have to have a survey done, it's £100+ vat, refundable if you have the work carried out by the company. If you have a damp problem, choose Romana Ltd.
