Installation of electric heated towel rail and new fuse box as well as new cable to gas meter
I engaged Richard to install an electric towel rail in my recently renovated bathroom, as well as a new fuse box and cable to my gas meter in the front hall to bring them up-to date with current requirements and regulations. Richard explained in detail what was required and why and sent me a clear and detailed estimate of the cost. He then turned up at the appointed time to do the work and did a brilliant job. He also sent me the relevant certificates in relation to the works promptly the next day. He was meticulous, giving great attention to detail and completed the work to a high standard and without leaving any mess. I also very much appreciated his explaining to me all I needed to know about the new installations, as well as his courtesy and consideration at all times. He is competent, knowledgeable and reliable and I can highly recommend him. Should I need an electrician again in the future, he will definitely be the first I will call.

Efficient, friendly, tidy and unflappable!
Richard recently installed a simple fire alarm system for the communal areas of our property. The work was completed efficiently and tidily, and with absolutely no fuss. He is NICEIC registered and provided the appropriate certification for the installation promptly. He is friendly and punctual and straightforward - and he was unflappable in the face of some last-minute changes of plan. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any electrical work.

EICR + associated works + light fittings - excellent work!
Richard quoted fairly, gave good advice in advance of the appointment, found an appointment slot swiftly, did the EICR thoroughly, fitted the new flush ceiling lights, sorted some snags, talked me through the work and answered my daft questions! Work was kept to schedule and the budget, and it was very easy. Big relief after having another electrician trying to take the mickey over the same job. Thank you, Richard - glad I found you!

Minor Repairs - Highly Recommended
New to the area, we needed an electrician for various minor works in our new home. These included faulty light switches, damaged fittings, and ventilation covers. Richard was clear in his estimate and in explaining what was needed. He acquired the necessary parts and fitted them. He was punctual and careful around our property. Outside light
Richard came today to replace an outside light for me, and change 2 wall sockets and a smoke alarm. He arrived on time. He was very efficient, extremely tidy and very polite. He went above and beyond as I hadn't booked him for the 2nd socket. His pricing was fair. I highly recommend Richard.

High quality work and outstanding service
The service provided went far beyond my expectations - all work was carried out to a very high standard, emails were responded to promptly, and additional advice and links to useful information were given to me. RS Electrical UK rewired my kitchen, carried out an EICR, installed a bathroom fan, rewired a hall socket, and installed a new consumer unit. I had recently used another trader (not a Which? Expert, knowledgeable and very thorough
Richard is excellent. He has done big (rewiring) and small (new lights) jobs for us. He comes into his own when diagnosing a problem which lots of other electricians were not able to solve. He is methodical, thorough and comes up with a solution that works. We had a number of electrical issues resulting from flood damage and in the past poor wiring. He gave us a work plan of how he was going to solve everything, a break down of costs and timings - he delivered on everything, solved the electrical problems and did it to time. His costs are very reasonable for the excellent work he does. And he is just the nicest person to deal with.

We found RS Electrical on this site. They responded quickly to our enquiry and came within a couple of days to quote to replace our kitchen under-shelf lighting. The quote was clear and slightly the cheaper of two we received. On acceptance, they came to do the work three days later and completed the work and cleaned up all within two hours. We are very happy with our new, brighter, well-fitted lights. Highly recommended.

Unreliable
Made Contact in Nov and was told they would do the work in Jan which worked well for me. Chased for quote numerous times and after 6 weeks of this was told not interested. Being let down 2 weeks before due to start has now delayed the refurb as I need the electrical person first. Now likely to lose the builder who has advised he has another job if he can start in January Another unreliable unprofessional tradesman.

Professional and pleasant tradesman
Richard did a number of small but necessary jobs for us on the same visit. They included wiring a doorbell to the mains, replacing an exterior light and chasing in a new spur connection. He did all of them neatly and efficiently. He turned up punctually when he said he would with all the things he needed and left everything clean and tidy when he left. I found him pleasant to deal with and very professional. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

Outstanding.
Richard undertook a range of electrical work in our house over several days. The bulk of the task involved converting a large number of LV halogen lights to LEDs, but he also addressed various switching issues, replaced a bathroom extractor fan and installed some exterior lighting. His free quotation was meticulously researched and competitive, and the work was duly completed in accordance with the previously agreed budget. We were to source one particular light under a guarantee, but this proved more complex than we had expected. When we eventually received the fitting, several weeks after the other elements of the work had been completed, Richard returned to our house and made the installation without any additional charge. He was a pleasure to deal with throughout the job, and I recommend his services unequivocally.
