“The guys from Southern Specialists did a great job repairing the ceiling. They replaced the damaged plaster board and plastered the whole ceiling and it now looks great. They arrived at the date and time specified and left everything neat and tidy. I'll certainly used them again for any plastering work we need in the future”

Had Steve come over to look at the job. He quoted a good price which included covering over previous artexing , installing insulating boards and removing a pelmet . The main ceiling was flat but we also had a skilling ceiling that Steve covered in 50mm insulating plaster board to improve the insulation of the room. All worked well and pleased with the job. 2 months in and no cracks and all decorated now.

The boys did overall good job, the communication was great with quick responses. They rescheduled both of their visits due to unforeseen circumstances but np there. I have only two dislikes: One, there were uneven places in the wall, but they came back to correct. And two, my paint started peeling off from this wall only. I called a professional painter to inspect and I explained that Stephen (the main plasterer) told me 4-5 days drying time before mistcoating, for which the painter said the very minimum drying time is 7-8 days, hence the paint is peeling. So I was told the wrong drying time.

Steven and his team responded very quickly to our enquiry and was able to work around our timescales. He was polite, professional and trustworthy. The team arrived when agreed and did an amazing job of plastering a very long wall in our dining room. They also tidied and cleaned up afterwards. The quality of work was excellent - the best I’ve seen (and we’ve had lots of plastering done over the years). This is now the third time we’ve used him and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Plastering over a collapsed ceiling
Stephen is very polite and knowledgeable. He did a great job with a tricky plastering problem which he was dedicated in ensuring that the finish was as smooth as possible. I’m pleased with the results so far, it is still drying out but he is very professional, clean and tidy and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
