Treadlighter installed a Solar PV System for us in a difficult location and during challenging weather conditions. Nevertheless, their team were professional, good humoured and tidy and we are very happy with the installation. We also found the team in their office to be very knowledgeable and helpful. We are happy to recommend them.

Very professional and helpful - solar panels are performing just as predicted

The Treadlighter team were excellent from start to finish, including dealing with difficulties arising from supply chain issues, and advising on solutions to problems with integrating their work with our builders. The paperwork around what we were going to get was very clear and informative, and though they were inundated with enquiries following the energy price increases, they were responsive. Because of the supply issues the installation took place in different stages. The project management was very good and there was always someone to get hold of when we needed to change a date because of delays to our building project. There were some issues arising from the installation onto our new slate roof, which they dealt with effectively. All Treadlighter personnel were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We now have a 3.95Kw up and running and we feel confident that it has been professionally thought through and installed. The Treadlighter pricing seemed very much in line with the market and part of what they offered was a return on investment calculation which helped with the decision to go ahead. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Domestic PV installation

Excellent communication and advice throughout the process. Flexible about scheduling. Alteration needed to schedule due to circumstances out of Treadlighter's control - well managed. Work done as planned, and to budget. Entirely satisfied, am recommending to neighbours, etc.

Completely satisfied with job done to contract and on time

I chose this company via the Which? Trusted Traders service. The company that installed my solar panels years ago ceased trading - also years ago. The panels were lying flat on the flat roof, and I wanted them rearranged and to be angled southwards, to give me both better overall performance, but above all proper self-cleaning. Flat panels get dirty, which degrades their performance. It may sound trivial to rearrange 16 panels on a flat roof, but they are heavy, have to be first disconnected, then attached to the “A-frames” supplied by TL, made secure with ballast and correctly reconnected; a combination of heavy lifting and technical competence. The team arrived at 8 am and were finished by 3 pm! Everyone was polite and helpful. Finally, unlike various other companies, TL does not try to sell you stuff you don’t need (eg by replacing my inverter). All in all, a first-rate small British company.

Outstanding Experience

The best possible endorsement that we can give to Treadlighter is that a 3.6wk PV system was installed at our home professionally and with absolutely no fuss or disruption within about two weeks of us ordering. An expert crew arrived exactly on time and was on site for about 6 hours, leaving us with a system working that evening. There were no extra or additional charges levied - the cost was exactly as per the quote. Since installation the system has performed exactly as we expected. We would recommend Treadlighter with absolutely no reservations.

Knowledgeable, friendly & efficient installing domestic solar system

Immensely impressed by Treadlighter. From the outset they were responsive, informative and well attuned to our needs. They were always punctual and polite during survey, pre-installation inspection, installation and commissioning. It was well worth using them to apply for planning permission (we are in a conservation area). They seem big enough to deliver major projects, but small enough to maintain personal contacts. We know exactly who to call if we have any issues and I’m confident their after sales service would be as brilliant as everything else they do.

Good experience from start to finish. The TL team (Guy, Peter + co) are very knowledge in what they do and were happy to educate me along the solar journey. They designed and implemented a system for my house across two flat roofs without any major issues. Communication was solid throughout the process. The handover pack at the end was also appreciated. Confident if there are any issues they will handle them as well. Enjoying turning sun into power!

Installation of 2.6kWp domestic solar system

Guy and team were friendly, professional and courteous from start to finish. Very efficient and easy to work with. They were patient in answering my questions and willing to liaise with another trader in order to set timings so as to use the scaffolding they were putting up and save some costs.

Fab from start to finish

I chose Treadlighter, after much research, based on their up to date knowledge, maximising capacity in their proposal, price and good communication with me. They have been fabulous from start to finish. A joy to work with from proposal, to technical site visit, to the installation team working with the roofing company who were insulating and retiling my whole roof. I can't recommend them highly enough. And I'm also confident they will be there if anything needs following up down the track.

Very professional and helpful installers

Treadlighter provided me with a start to finish complete service on a domestic solar PV install. They were really good in terms of communications - including helping me with some particular requirements in terms of the install. They did what they said they would, and I'm totally satisfied with the quality of work and would recommend them to anyone - they are a very professional outfit.

An amazing install

I needed to have my whole roof replaced and so it was a good point to get solar panels installed. Treadlighter worked with me and my roofer to design and build a system into the roof and work out how it could all be done at the same time. The install was professional and well done. After sales support was great. I am very happy with my system and have now hooked it up to an electric car.

Great service

I'm really pleased I selected Treadlighter to install my solar PV system. A lot more reasonably priced compared to some other quotes I received. They came across as professional, trustworthy, and provided a great service. They were able to install the panels quicker and easier than I was expecting, and managed to overcome a slight issue I had with my roof. Overall, I would highly recommend them.
