Tony and his team had previously fitted my kitchen and done a fantastic job so I asked them to fit my downstairs bathroom. Again they have done a fantastic job. Extremely helpful and trustworthy. We first used A.P.Ward Building Services in 2022 having seen the reviews on Which? Trusted Trader. They lived up to the reviews and did a fantastic job with our daughters flat complete refurb. More recently Tony and his team have done some flooring work for us, preparing the base and laying the new LVT flooring. On both the occasions the work has been to a very high standard, communication has been prompt whenever we contacted Tony and quotes have been clear, accurate and as expected. As well as being clean and tidy in their work they are reliable, honest, trustworthy and really nice guys as well.

Bathroom Problems

Tony has been extremely helpful in replacing a badly leaning shower screen, broken bath plug and replacement of inappropriate electrical fittings for the shower. He and his colleagues are always extremely helpful, patient and reliable.

Tap Repair

Tony provided an excellent service again and I would highly recommend this company. He promptly responded to my query, made time to do the repair within a quick timeframe and gave me a thorough explanation of what the problem was. He also advised me to contact the tap supplier to request a replacement part that was covered by warranty. His work was of a very high standard and very good price. Thanks Tony!

Highly recommended and consistently great service

We first found Tony through Which? several years ago, and AP Ward has been our ‘go to’ building company ever since. Tony and his team (including Jim, Paul and Justin) have just completed fitting a new kitchen for us, which involved stripping out the old kitchen, making building alterations, fully replastering the ceiling and walls, plus levelling the floor. Tony and his team are always a pleasure to have around, their work ethic is great, and their tidiness assured. The quote was detailed, accurate, and we were able to change things as we went along, with Tony always keen to take our views and questions on board, and quick to come back at the end to make a couple of adjustments. One of the real advantages of using Tony is the way he just organises everything from start to finish – and on this occasion, that involved him working effectively with a kitchen design company which he had not worked with before. We would not hesitate to recommend Tony and his team.

Efficient and friendly, highly recommended

I had my gutters and pipe work replaced by AP Ward last year, and found the overall work and service faultless. And this week due to heavy rains I needed some additional guttering maintenance and got in touch with Tony at last minute. Was so grateful to him and Justin for finding the time to fit me immediately, they were super prompt and punctual, and sorted the problem right away. Reliable, friendly and super skilled!

We have been using AP Ward since we moved into the area back in 2015. They are extremely skilled, personable and always willing to have a discussion to figure out what is best for us and the house. Being an old Victorian terraced there are always nuances to the work needing to be done. Tony and the team are always willing to have an initial conversation with us to understand the work, educate us, provide quotes and ensure that we get the right outcome. Recently we had a complete kitchen renovation carried out by them which required all floorboards to be removed, structural work and multiple tradespeople working together to deliver our vision for the kitchen. They helped ensure a smooth process throughout and when we had unforeseen circumstances are quick and easy to work with to resolve. In the past, we have used Tony and the team for a wide range of jobs including decorating, plumbing, bathroom refit, general support, and a boiler replacement. They can support across a wide range of work and I couldn’t recommend the team highly enough in terms of the support throughout the jobs and the finish we were left with!

Great service from AP Ward

Tony Ward and his team refurbished my conservatory and made it as good as new. I am delighted with the result and the cost to fix pipework, replastering and redecoration was reasonable. All work was completed promptly and cleanly and communications were excellent I have no hesitation in recommending his company.

Tony is a helpful, knowledgeable and trustworthy person. I always ask for assistance with any repairs or house renovations. They respond quickly and offer advice on the best solutions. When I had a gas boiler issue, he visited me the next day to solve the problem quickly. I highly recommend AP Ward to everyone.

I have used Tony and his tram over a number of yearsn for both internal and external jobs (including roof replacement), they have always been a pleasure to deal with and would use no-one else. Bathroom refurb

We used AP Ward to take on our bathroom refurbishment. Tony’s project management skills were outstanding, doing all the negotiations with a difficult supplier and making sure everything was within budget. We found him and his team very helpful. They are very hard working and meticulous on detail. Paul and Dave from his team were always on time, very hard working and cleared up after they’d finished. We now have a lovely new bathroom and we have no hesitation in recommending them. We’ve already used them again to replace some lights.

Very professional company

We decided to ask Tony Ward to take on our kitchen refurb this spring. I was initially unsure about he price he quoted, having received a couple of cheaper quotes elsewhere. However, it was really a case of coming to terms with the cost of professionals now to do the sort of work I'd previously done myself before old age defeated me. It is also clearly very much a case of you get what you pay for. His quote was very detailed and was updated as we made several modifications. Communication with Tony was really good. He has a large team to call on and the time and care attending to details before the job was finished was, I'm sure, second to none. He has my hearty endorsement.

Consistently high quality

I have used AP Ward over a number of years (including new roof) and have always found them consistently excellent with very good advice / communication. The latest job being replacement of old shower enclosure with leaky seals which involved new shower enclosure, shower and new tiling. Really good job done - once again. Recommended.
