We set an extremely ambitious deadline which AJ, despite huge effort, couldn’t quite meet, but he worked with real enthusiasm and good humour, even over Christmas and often going above and beyond. A few snags arose, as expected on a job of this scale, and each was dealt with immediately and without any quibble. Decoration and flooring were handled separately as our move‑in date loomed.
