I booked Alan to carry out a powerflush on our old and neglected central heating we inherited with the house. I knew it was not going to be straightforward and so it proved. Alan was with us almost the entire day fixing one issue after another, but at the end of the day we have heating and hot water. Alan was professional throughout and talked me through the various problems and solutions. Although he was with us much longer than expected the agreed fee remained the same. I would definitely recommend Alan Mac for plumbing and central heating work.

My central heating had stopped working. I found Alan via Chat GPT, having asked for the names of plumbers with the best reputations in West London. He was the first on the list it generated. He came when he said he would, was very personable and identified and fixed the issue (including having to go to buy the new part required) quickly. He also fixed a couple of radiators that weren't heating as they should without charging any me anything extra for doing so, even though he had to use a new valve on one of them. His good reputation is fully justified and I will now automatically default to using him in future should the need arise.

All completed in two days, also added a radiator, in my rear extension, which made sense. Knowledgeable,reliable,and helpful in explaining, in layman’s terms, your options. Alan was recommended to us. The task was to upgrade our heating system by adding a new pump to increase pressure and a new boiler. Together with 3 new radiators and fitting new valves and brackets to existing vintage radiators. From the initial conversation you got a good feeling that this was a really professional service. What can I say, a tradesman who absolutely knows his job inside out. My old boiler was installed by cowboys and we have had nothing but problems, then comes along Alan. Called Alan as we needed our boiler and central heating system serviced and a radiator thermostat replaced. Within a week the work was completed and we now have a boiler working as if it was new and radiators working efficiently, he kindly was even able to provide the replacement radiator thermostat without charge. Throughout Alan’s communication, advice and knowledge has been exceptional and the quote for the work was one of the most reasonable we received.

Having been endlessly mucked about by a local plumber who did not have a Drayton Motorised Valve and said it had to be specially ordered in, I found 12 such valves available for collect at various local plumbers' merchants around me! Having waited two days, I called Alan and he came over straight away, fitted the valve and checked the system. I thoroughly recommend this very efficient and helpful man

My old boiler needed replacing, so I got a few quotes to get a sense of the cost and work involved. I chose Alan because when he visited to give an estimate, he struck me as an affable, knowledgeable professional. Also, I appreciated him giving a detailed explanation & costings of what the job entailed. Alan patiently and politely answered any questions I had and later sent me a detailed written estimate of all that had been discussed. On the agreed starting date for installing the boiler, Alan arrived on time, worked very hard throughout the day and tidied up when he was finished. Alan went above and beyond in helping me get the correct heating system. After picking Alan from a few other engineers he came on the day that was agreed He installed a new Worcester combi boiler along with 4 new radiators. He recommended a towel rail which I'm very happy with as it uplifts the bathroom. On completion, I was extremely happy with his workmanship and left the property tidy I'm really impressed with Alan putting back a tiled boxing better than originally as other plumbers said they would need to smash it out to get to the pipes I would 100% recommend Alan

Alan was a very knowledgeable Heating engineer, he wasn’t the cheapest, but as they say, you get what you pay for. From the start to finish I have no complaints, when he visited my house 1st time, we set and I went through my requirements and problems, and he gave me a quote with recommendations, he spent well over discussing my requirements. When i was ready, I called him again, and he spent good amount of time explaining everything in details. While installing the boiler, he came across poor wiring and he sorted that out for me without additional charges, it did take him good few hours to sort the wiring. He also sorted out my old piping in the roof which looked like cobweb, but he sorted that out too, his piping skills are to be admired. Throughout the install he asked if I was happy with the progress of the job, also each day he would clear up all the mess before leaving for the day. Overall he is a excellent central heating engineer, and it was a pleasure picking the right person for the job, I would recommend Alan to anyone.

I had a leaking pipe. I got a number of names from Which and he got the highest rating. I chose him and booked an appointment with him for Monday. He came and explained to me the situation and the possible options, wishing to give me the best price for the job. He then did the repairs very successfully. Initially contacted Alan about removing a radiator and replacing it with a vertical one. When he initially visited he inspected the whole heating system and helped me to make an informed decision about replacing the boiler and all the radiators which were old and on borrowed time. I also asked him to fit a new kitchen sink, tap, bathroom vanity unit and shower screen. He helped me decide on a new kitchen sink and tap and supplied a shower screen at a highly discounted price. The work was completed to the highest standard on the agreed dates and for a fair price. Most importantly, Alan is a very genuine, engaging and knowledgeable person who you can trust and feel comfortable being in your home. He went above and beyond to make sure the job was done properly and explained everything clearly. He always kept me updated with what he was doing and dealt with any issues that popped up. I will use Alan for boiler servicing and any other plumbing and heating work required in the future.
