Excellent job!

Daniel has just completed painting the exterior of our house. Before the work started, he was responsive to queries about timing, and kept in touch until the agreed date. On starting the job, he arrived punctually. Despite having to cope with the rainy summer, the work was done to the schedule he had given us, and to the estimate. We are delighted with the result. His attention to detail was excellent, and he was willing to tackle some hard to reach features that other painters were unwilling to take on. He was patient, courteous and took care to consult on issues which arose during the work.

Professional and polite

I appointed Daniel Bastos Ltd to paint the exterior walls of my Victorian end of terrace property, which were badly in need of a good coat of paint. Daniel was very professional and courteous - from the moment he came to assess the work I required until the paint work was done. He and Parnelli arrived very promptly every morning, kept me informed of their progress and worked diligently during the day. They paid great attention to detail, repaired the parts of the walls that had lost part of the render, primed this, and gave the three sides of my home the two coats of paint. The work was completed on 5th June. The exterior walls look new! I am extremely pleased with the results and I would definitely employ Daniel to do any paint work that I require in the future and would recommend him to family and friends.

I was looking to have my place painted and found Daniel’s name online. He was utterly professional from the very start. He was always available to communicate and gave me a quote which I was very happy with. His work is top quality. His attention to detail, meticulous care with the choice of paint, finish, timing of work and organisation really impressed me. I will be using only Daniel from now on for any painting. Brilliant professional service from start to finish

We hired Daniel to decorate both inside and outside the house. He had already come highly recommended by a neighbour and from our first contact he was helpful and responsive to messages. If he said he'd be there or that he'd send us something, he always did in a short timeframe. When he started the work, he did an excellent job and always left the place immaculate before he left to ensure we didn't feel like we were living in a building site. He checked with us before he started on anything new that he had the right colour - and identified that the paint we had for some of the work might not really be the shade we'd wanted. The work took the time he'd estimated and although it was more expensive than other quotes were - it was worth every penny.

We employed Daniel to do some external work on our house in November. Prior to starting he discussed our requirements in detail and produced an itemised fixed price quote. Bad weather caused some unavoidable delay but Daniel was very flexible and kept us fully informed about progress. We found him to be polite, helpful and friendly and the work was completed to a high standard. We will go to him again the next time we need a painter/decorator.

Excellent work, very flexible, and very helpful

Daniel and Plinio came to redecorate the rear of our 4 storey house: lots of windows and doors to prep and paint, as well as various masonry repairs. Since the scaffolders did not complete on schedule but were absent for a week after making a start Daniel had to adjust his work plan, starting at ground floor and then accessing what was possible from ladders, in order to try to keep the project on track. Then, with brickies, chippie, and roofer also working on the job, a fair degree of cooperation and consideration was required. Throughout the project Daniel was particularly helpful and flexible in his approach, his communication was excellent, and both he and Plinio were a pleasure to have working on the house - they also tidied up exceptionally well. The end result looks great, and will hopefully weather well for a good number of years.

I chose Daniel Bastos in the first place because of his Which? Trusted Trader status. His quotation was not the cheapest I received, but was worth every penny. He and his colleague were totally reliable and considerate of me because I was also in the house for much of the time and they were decorating my sitting room, stairs and two landings, which was inevitably disruptive for all of us. They were courteous and cheerful and their skill was obvious in their standard of workmanship, and the completely professional and well-organised routine that they followed. They made an excellent team. I was also extremely grateful for their help in re-hanging all my pictures and replacing my heavy furniture on completion of the job. I am elderly and could not do this safely myself.

Daniel and team were really good, I definitely recommend. Communication worked really well before and during the work, and they explained everything that they were doing. They could also accommodate some particular requests, were very friendly and produced work of great quality.

Great job, friendly and tidy

Daniel and his team redecorated the interior of my house. Mainly painting the walls and ceilings including lining paper where necessary. They did a great job working around me, leaving the house usable when they finished for the day. I was very happy with their work and asked them to paint the outside of the house and do some additional work while they were there. I'm happy to recommend them.

Brilliant job and lovely crew

I employed Daniel in 2021 to repaint our kitchen and we were so pleased with the result that we asked them back to do a much bigger job. Daniel and his team had to redecorate a large sitting room, with coving and picture rails and wainscot. This entailed sanding lots of woodwork, sugar soaping the papered ceiling and other painted wall surfaces and repainting, stripping other wallpaper and replacing it. I cannot praise Daniel and his team enough. They arrived punctually, worked very hard and quickly and did the job in super fast time. But it was all done with great care and attention to detail and looks wonderful. They even cleaned our windows afterwards and replaced the big furniture and carpet, all without being asked. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again.

Highly recommended

We contacted Daniel to decorate the front of our house as we noticed how dedicated to the job he was whilst working on a house opposite ours. We met with Daniel the day after and immediately trusted him to do the works. We are very satisfied with the end result. Not only Daniel and his team did a quality job within the time quoted, they are also very polite, tidy and have been patient with us taking some time to decide the final finish. Decorating

Daniel has just finished decorating my house to a very high standard. He was very thorough and meticulous during his time here. Very clean and tidy with no fuss. I would definitely recommend him.

Very happy with work

I asked Daniel to decorate my lounge and dining room. This involved taking off the existing wallpaper, lining the walls and painting. Daniel was very courteous and good with communication prior to the work happening. Once the work started, he and his colleague turned up on time every day and left the house tidy at the end of each day. They were pleasant, reliable and also cat friendly! (My initially nervous cat ended up loving them!) The work was done to a high standard and I'm very happy with it. I've already asked Daniel to quote for some more work and would recommend him.
