Why this helps you judge trust: this trader is linked to a registered company with named people who are legally accountable for it, on an official register anyone can check, a layer of accountability an unregistered trader doesn't offer. Around 8 years on the register also points to an established business rather than a brand-new one.

Highlights

I can't recommend this company more. Completely reliable and highly knowledgeable. Takes the time to clearly explain the issue until you fully understand it, and resolves it at a fair price.

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

Thank you for their boiler service as well as fixing a radiator water leak. They are all friendly, efficient, tidy and arrived promptly.

HC FCheckatrade5.0 rating

We had a problem with our boiler whereby it was gaining too much pressure when the heating was turned on. We wanted it fixed and also a service. It was easy to book the initial call out. The engineer attended as promised and diagnosed the fault. We needed a new expansion chamber and PRV. We requested a quote and booked another appointment, which was attended as promised. The work was completed and we were happy with the overall service. The engineer was professional and friendly. There was a slight delay getting a quote but we appreciate it's a busy time of year. Definitely recommended!

What to check before you hire

Worth checking yourself
Always confirm credentials and quotes with the business directly before hiring.
Verify at the sourceCheck them yourself

Gas work is restricted by law to Gas Safe registered engineers. If they'll touch a boiler or any gas appliance, confirm they're currently on the register before you hire - it's free and takes a minute.

Check the Gas Safe Register
By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register. Ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
