About Powell Tuck Associates

Powell Tuck Associates is a practice of architects and designers, providing architecture, interior design, furniture design and landscaping services. The practice currently employs 15 staff, with core members who have worked with the practice for up to 14 years. Our studio, in Chiswick, west London, was purpose built by us in 2003. We take on both conversion and new build projects for individuals and developers, and work across a range of sectors, which includes residential, commercial and retail. Our conversion work often involves complex and highly technical alterations and extensions to existing buildings, many of which are listed, and our aim is to create a contemporary design that is distinct from - but in harmony with - the existing building. We always start from the premise that the new use of the building should never obliterate its past life. Externally, our buildings are designed not to give too much away and to age gracefully. Many of our projects are in urban and Conservation Areas, which are often bound by planning restrictions and considerations and, as a result, we have very good experience of dealing with planning applications and an excellent track record for successful outcomes.
