“My front door latch came away from the door and lodged itself in the door frame. I could not get out the front door as it would not open. I called Kliff (the business owner) on Monday evening and he was able to talk me through how to release the mechanism and get the door open again via a face time call. I could not retrieve all the latch mechanism from the door frame, so Kliff attended in person the next morning and managed to fix the latch back in place on the door. I was very impressed with the service and the time that Kliff took out of his day to come over to me from North London. I have no hesitation in recommending Kliff and his company to my fellow Which? members.”

“Matt from Keymakers (London) Ltd. did some work on the wooden side door of my garage, which had become swollen in the bad weather, in order to enable the key to turn in the lock as it should, and to open the door easily. I found Matt to be very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. He also took the time to explain in detail what he was doing to fix the issue, and was happy, as well, to answer any questions I had. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt to others.”

Fast, effective and professional

We had a problem with a malfunctioning snib lock on our multipoint locking uPVC door which was preventing proper operation of the door and required work on the internal latching mechanism. Initial contact with the firm was highly professional and attentive. The locksmith attended promptly on the agreed day and time and repaired the multilock system quickly and without resort to new parts. Highly recommended, will be my preferred locksmith going forward.

Job Well Done

What a find?!

I was beginning to give up hope of getting some spare keys cut for a relatively rare motorcycle - a Cagiva Gran Canyon. A search for blanks to buy had extended to Europe and the USA, but given the bike's age (23) I began to conclude that any blanks would have gone by now. So I thought perhaps copies could be made. Anything can be made, at a price, so I called Keymakers thinking perhaps they could actually make me some spares. I talked to a guy called Mark, sent some photos and within minutes I was told they had blanks. I went there, had them cut and they worked perfectly, despite a modest difference in design. Having visited them, I can attest to the vast quantity of keys they stock. That coupled with staff that are clearly knowledgeable is very reassuring. Based on my experience, I would suggest you can deal with them in confidence.

Possibly the best key shop in the world

Definately the best key shop in London, if not the world. They have literally millions of key blanks and expert locksmiths to cut most keys, even vintage motorcycle locks. Top class service at very reasonable rates. Highly recommended

Excellent Service!

On returning to our house after a lovely walk, we found we couldn't open our Chubb lock on the front door. After many attempts and lots of colourful language, my husband walked down to Keymakers and spoke to one of the staff about the problem. Within half an hour, Cliff arrived. He was able to open the lock, removed it, found that the mechanism inside had failed and gave us options for correcting the problem. He was very honest in saying it would be cheaper to recondition our lock rather than buy a completely new one. He then duly took the lock away. Within 2 hours he was back with the reconditioned lock, 4 new keys and he moved the position of the lock slightly to give the door a better fit. We were very pleased with the swift response to our needs, his honest and professional manner, alongside great workmanship. We would Highly recommend this company.

Prompt, efficient, helpful

Our Chubb lock had gone wrong. The locksmith explained clearly on the phone what the options were and what the cost would be. We had a call to tell us the representative was on his way which was very helpful. The individual was very polite, helpful, friendly and efficient - he identified what he thought the issue was and what could be done about it and, again, what the cost implications were. He returned within half an hour, with a Chubb lock which now works perfectly and had also made us a new key in case there was an issue with the old one. I cannot think of any way in which this service could have been improved, and have already booked a visit from Keymakers to review my mother's security.

Attended to replace broken locks due to attempted break in

We had an attempted burglary, within a matter of a couple of hours this company had sent a locksmith to replace the broken locks and replaced others. They re attended today to replace a faceplate as it did not match my colour scheme (hay ho). The staff were polite and very considerate at this difficult time. Great value for money too. I would highly recommend them.

We have a very well stocked retail premises where you will find skilled and knowledgeable staff. We are stockists of Burton, Chubb, Churchill, Gunnebo, Hamber, Securikey, and Yale safes and offer an installation service. Should you have a safe which requires opening or servicing in any way, our skilled locksmiths and safe engineers will be able to assist you. Our long experience in providing masterkeyed locking systems ensures that our customers receive sound advice when purchasing a suite of locks. We also cut keys for vehicles and provide a good stock of UVPC locks & handles.
